Hey... is there anyone out there? We have this whole forum to use so let's do something with it! If you're a teen or parent from Millington and you have some ideas for our group put em' up! I'll be putting some of my own up here also so you can read and see what you think. I really want to hear your ideas and thoughts about our group. Who knows? your idea that started out as a post on here could become some huge event for Millington or a favorite activity everyone looks forward to each year! It's your opportunity...

So Bruce 'the Kid' Kidwell emailed me the other day with an excellent idea. MOVIE NIGHT. We get the projector, some coke and pop-corn and a good movie. I'm def. putting this on the calendar, it's just a matter of when. I would also like to have some nights where we get together and sing/ learn some new songs, maybe we can put these events together with a Singing/ movie night, idk, you guys let me know what you think! ALSO, since you're all shy and short on ideas, I'll throw another one out for you to get to talking about... MISSION TRIP... put some ideas out there. Do you have connections with people out of state or across the state that go to a church we could visit and help? Is anyone interested in planning a work trip out of the country?

jMike!! HEY HEY! so, um this whole "let the ideas flow" post looked a little lonely...seeing as how you were the only posting things, so I figured i'd make it..."un-lonely"! haha! But, anywho...Movie night sounds good, what movie are we supposed to be watching?It isn't goin to be lame right? MISSION TRIP...that's a really good idea! I think it would be AMAZIN if we did a mission trip outside of the country! We could totally do like "fund-raisers" and whatnot to raise money so we could all go! It'd be tons O fun! :) SO, anywhoo...i'm kinda out of ideas here. But this was fun! PEACE! -pMac!

So where would you want to go? Honduras? Central America? Something like that? There's plenty of places to go in the states too.

how bout HAWAII!!!!! or somewhere in the states would work to, not Honduras, they have some goverment issues there...

Okay..so this might get taken the wrong way but it's totally not meant to offend the younger kids, BUT...anywho! I have talked to another teen and we think that since this is the first time (hopefully) we'd be going on a mission trip, it should be just the high school kids. I'm only saying that because some of the younger kids are extremely hard to keep up with and to keep calmed down, and being somewhere far from home might be dangerous for them. AND...if just the high school kids went, it would give us all a chance to build a stronger bond within the group and with God. SO.....that's my spiel. I talked to nina about "destinations" and we came up with this:
*Anywhere in central America..such as:
*El Salvador
*Belice
*Panama
*Nicaragua...and so on...
-OR-
*Jamaica..Nina said she heard about tons of different churches going over there.
-OR-
* Anywhere in South America..such as:
*PERU
*Ecuador
*Bolivia...and so forth...

So, yea...just some suggestions! ;)

I am one of the younger ones and i do agree with "P Mac" i think it would be hard to keep up with "us", and it wouldn't be a very good idea too have us all (whole group) go, that would be too many people to keep up with the whole time. Just high school sounds good to me. And then you have someting to look forward to when you grow up. (destination wise) that sounds too far away for some of us. I agree TOTALLLY with "P Mac."

Yeah, good call on the age thing. ANYTHING out-of-country or out-of-state is def. gonna be H.S. and up. That's just the way it needs to be anyway. It's always cool to do a stateside mission trip also, b/c you get to know people in the U.S. alot faster since you speak their language, you can communicate with them alot faster through internet and other means after you leave, and it's a good start for teens and people who haven't been on mission trips before. I would love to do something out of the U.S. and I hope one day we have the experience and the resources to do it. I think we could do a great mission trip in the U.S.A. I used to love going on missions trips to the states around TN! Teens are also undersold on what they can do on missions trips, but I think teen missions are some of the best ones!
